Earthquake Visions Of Tammy Faye

(Conspiracy Nation, 04/20/08)Coincident to an earthquake felt here in Illinois on Friday, April 18th, appearances of a mysterious lady are being reported. According to some reports, the visionary phantom resembles the late Tammy Faye Bakker (image, left). It has been almost a year now since Ms. Bakker passed on to the other world.

The mysterious lady, whoever she is, has conveyed messages to witnesses, such as “The Zadokite Temple is the True Temple” and “Pray for Zimbabwe.” But some sneer at Illinoisans and call them half-baked. These do not credit as factual the appearance of any “mysterious lady,” be she Tammy Faye Bakker or otherwise.

And yet, the appearance of a mysterious lady often does accompany earthquakes in historical accounts. As far back as the Book of Amos, visions and earthquakes have been paired. In the time of Richard the Lionheart and the Third Crusade, during the siege of Acre, a miraculous vision accompanied an earthquake. James Reston, Jr, in his book, “Warriors of God,” relates how “a light shone down from heaven, and the Virgin Mary appeared...” Her message to the Crusaders was, “Be not terrified, for the Lord has sent me hither for your safety. As soon as the day shall have dawned, go and tell your Kings, in the name of Jesus Christ my Son and Lord, to cease leveling the walls of this city. Four days from now the Lord shall deliver it into their hands.” And, continues Reston, “At her disappearance the earth shook with an earthquake.” (Reston, ch. 19, section 2). Four days later, as foretold, Acre yielded to the Crusaders, on July 12, 1191 A.D.

Regarding the “light shining down from heaven” mentioned above, “Disclosure” (pseudonym) reports an “odd phenomena during last night's aftershock.” His daughter “saw a white flash light up right over the piano” coincident to one of the quake aftershocks. In January of 1871, an earthquake struck at Pontmain, France. A week earlier, an “Aurora Borealis” had “made a deep impression” upon witnesses. Then, coincident with the quake, the “stars seemed to melt away and suddenly about five feet above the roof, there appeared a beautiful Lady.” Her message, in part, advised, “But pray my children, God will soon grant your request. My Son allows Himself to be moved by compassion.” (“Our Lady of Pontmain,” Wikipedia, April 19, 2008)

Telluric currents” (terrestrial currents) are associated with the Fatima region in Portugal. This area has witnessed “an astounding number of reports of apparitions of shining 'ladies.'” The most famous occurrences were the appearances of a mysterious lady in 1917 to three children. Reports of Tammy Faye Bakker appearances connected with Friday's earthquake have not been verified. They may well be a hoax. But what is certain is that quakes and mysterious lady appearances go hand-in-hand.
